What to do in Winnett, Montana?

Other than enjoy the peace and quiet of the least populous county in Montana? Well I promise you, we are rarely bored. Most folks here love the outdoors, getting together with neighbors, arts, sports, and more. Here's a few ideas of what WE would do within an hour-ish from Winnett:

• Take the Historic Walking Tour!
• Camp and Fish (or icefish!) at Crooked Creek Marina, Ft. Peck Lake
• Swim, Boat, Fish, or Paddleboard at Lake Petrolia (funny name, great spot.)
• Grab a burger, some stories, and a homemade slice of pie at the Winnett Bar and Grill
• Listen to a Jam Session here in Winnett or in neighboring Grass Range.
• Attend a seminar, workout class, or craft workshop at the PCCC
• Swim (or learn to swim) at the Winnett Public Pool.
• Go to a summer streetdance or festival
• Try your hand at pool and feed the jukebox at the Winnett Bar
• Try the waffles and BBQ at James Beard Award Finalist Backporch BBQ in Roundup, MT
• Eat frybread and ride the rides at the Central Montana Summer Fair in Lewistown
• Take a scenic drive to the Missouri Breaks or along the Musselshell River
• Learn about the Lewis & Clark Trail (we're on it!)
• Go watch the elk bugle and fight at Slippery Ann in the CMR.

• Have a picnic in the park, or while hiking on public lands.
• Learn about our history and check out our historic Old West buildings.
• Go biking. Motor or people powered!
• Cheer for the Winnett Rams at a Basketball game
• Stargaze (pretty much anywhere you can pull over safely and look up!)
• Birdwatch at Warhorse National Wildlife Refuge
• Hunt for a monster elk in the Missouri River Breaks
• Go for a horseback ride
• Go on a coyote hunt
• Try the beers at Big Spring Brewing in Lewistown.
• Listen to a Sunday sermon at any of our 4 local churches
